At ditech, our mission is to make the dream of homeownership a reality for Americans across the country. But this mission doesn’t stop with home loans; it extends to our communities. This is why we’re thrilled to announce our collaboration with Rebuilding Together. As a leading national nonprofit, Rebuilding Together is committed to providing critical repairs promoting safe and healthy housing to low-income homeowners.

We kicked off the collaboration with a grant to help continue Rebuilding Together’s mission of transforming the lives of low-income homeowners and revitalizing our communities. But that was just the beginning.

blog2.jpgFor over 40 years, Rebuilding Together has been in communities across the country providing housing that is safe and healthy to those who need it most. The organization’s local affiliates and nearly 100,000 volunteers complete about 10,000 rebuild projects nationwide each year. Needless to say, we can’t wait to start getting our hands dirty.

But first thing’s first: We had a ribbon to cut, and we were happy to welcome a special guest—our good friend and driver of the No. 4 ditech Chevrolet SS, Kevin Harvick® (@KevinHarvick), who made a special appearance on behalf of ditech Home Loans.

Ribbon-cutting Event at Camp Spaulding in New Hampshire

To celebrate the revitalization of Camp Spaulding’s play place, there was a ribbon-cutting event on Thursday, September 22 in Concord, New Hampshire. Camp Spaulding is a partnership between the YMCA and Concord Child and Family Services, who cultivate the potential of youth and create a community among campers of all ages through a wide variety of programs.

NASCAR driver Kevin Harvick and the No. 4 ditech Chevrolet SS made a special appearance on behalf of ditech Home Loans, and held an autograph session for the children in attendance. They got a chance to meet a champion racecar driver and see a real racecar close up! Harvick drove the No. 4 ditech Chevrolet SS days later at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. Blog1.jpg

And the day’s activities didn’t end there. Children from the Concord, New Hampshire YMCA after-school program who were also campers at Camp Spaulding were in attendance, and there was a tour of the revitalized camp space with a special dedication to the buildings and playground that ditech helped repair. Check out pictures from the inaugural event.

We look forward to transforming homeowners’ lives with Rebuilding Together, as well as announcing more exciting events soon!
